Seriously, I am with Mike----I don't really approach intros as attention-getters for non-Christians. I do use them, though, even if they're somewhat cursory.

Seriously, I am with Mike----I don't really approach intros as attention-getters for non-Christians. I do use them, though, even if they're somewhat cursory.
The 9Marks blog aims to stimulate a helpful conversation among pastors, church leaders, and Christians about life together in the local church.

This is why I like Ligon Duncan's introductions. He has started you thinking before he has really begun. I heard him say in an interview that he did not think he did introductions well. I had to email him and humbly disagree with him. I always find his introductions enlighting.

How about the way Matt Chandler begins his sermons? He says something like - All right, how are we? We good? Let's get going.
